Past week in addition to announcing the Xiaomi Mi Note, the Chinese handset manufacturer also announced the another variant Xiaomi Mi Note Pro phablet. Well, this phablet shares almost similar features like that of Mi Note with a bit more added functionality and advanced hardware.
Looking straight away to its specs, the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro hosts a 5.7” QuadHD display with 1440×2560 pixel resolution. The display is made with the JDI panel offering a stunning pixel density of 555pixels/inch. Under the hood lies the Qualcomm’s latest released 64 bit Snapdragon 810 chipset. The excellent thing is that after the Asus Zenfone 2 released earlier this year at the CES 2015, this is the second smartphone to come with a whopping 4GB of RAM memory with LPDDR4 offering better performance than the LPDDR3 and consuming less power. To its back is the 13MP primary camera while its front hosts a 4MP secondary UltraPixel camera. The camera to its back has a dual-tone LED flash from Phillips one with white LED and the other with Yellow LED bringing real to life color reproduction and images.
Design wise the phone is excellent as it comes with just 6.95mm of thickness similar to the Mi Note. The excellent part of the handset is that due to the Snapdragon 810 chipset, the Mi Note Pro offers Cat 9 LTE connectivity offering download speeds up to whopping 450Mbps with three 20MHz carrier support. Just like the Xiaomi Mi Note, this phablet too has got the dedicated reader mode functionality and lossless playback audio. The battery backup for the device is the same with 300mAh.
The Xiaomi Mi Note Pro comes with a dual SIM support wherein one is a nano SIM and the other is a micro SIM. The handset is tipped for March release with availability of Snapdragon 810 and is said to be priced for 3300 yuan or $532.
