A recent job listing shows Nokia plans to consider bringing its popular HERE apps to Android and iOS platforms. A recent jo offering on LinkedIn shows Nokia’s plans to offer HERE Maps to other platforms besides Windows Phone and its own.
According to the job posting, Nokia plans to hire a software engineer who ”will design and build advanced location-based services applications for the Android and iOS platforms”. This posting does not give any reference to HERE apps however among its two job postings, one includes an iOS/Android developer who could produce mobile SDKs while the other is Android Mobile App Developer for HERE crowd mapping.
Microsoft has recently took charge of Nokia after completing the formalities for its Devices and Service business and now it seems that the computer giant is gearing up its plans for Nokia.
