At the MWC 2014 Barcelona event, Korean manufacturer LG announced its L Series II lineup of smartphones that includes 3.5 inch L40, 4.5 inch L70 and the 4.7 inch L90. Recent news shows that the LG L70 could be launched by MetroPCS based on a leaked photo at @evleaks Twitter account showing the MetroPCS branded LG L70. In addition to this, the LG website also shows a pdf file of MetroPCS LG L70 (LG-MS323) which gives credence to the leaked news.
Taking a look at its specs, the LG L70 hosts a 4.5 inch IPS LCD display with a 800×480 pixel resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 dual-core 1.2GHz chipset, 1GB RAM with Adreno 302 GPU support, 4GB internal storage with microSD support up to 32GB, 5MP primary camera with auto-focus and LED flash and a front VGA camera, Android 4.4 KitKat on-board and a Li-Ion 2100mAh battery. Additionally the device also has a Knockcode security feature existing.
The device does not offer LTE but 3G HSPDA connection that keeps some basic browsing needs like checking mails and social sites satisfactory to its end. The release date is yet to be announced but it is confirmed that it will cost $250 for unlocked version in Europe while in China it will range between $160-$170.
