Facebook is working on a new feature in sharing what the users are listening or watching. From many years Facebook has evolved its sharing feature. The company whose main objective is to make sharing easy is expected to come with a new update.
Facebook has come a long way from sharing simple text to adding emotions like “Feelings” to statues. Official Facebook blog post announcing the new feature said “That means if you want to share that you’re listening to your favorite Beyoncé track or watching the season premiere of Game of Thrones, you can do it quickly and easily, without typing” they added” If you’ve turned the feature on, you’ll see an audio icon moving on the screen when you write a status update. If the feature finds a match, you can then choose to add the song, TV show or movie to your post.”
This is moving an inch closer to what Facebook calls “frictionless sharing”. Through this new change users will share what they are watching or listening without typing but audio clues from surrounding. This kind of works way the Shazam app which identifies the songs using small audio clip. But this feature will not share anything without user consent. So if don’t want your friends getting to know which song or movie your watching you can avoid it.
As per reports the new feature will be up in about month and would be updatable for both Android and iPhone users. Take a look at the video here.
