Apple camera has always been a better quality camera than Android smartphones. Apple boasts a great color capture and a quick and capable camera app. According to the rumors, currently Apple is working on the next biggest camera jump ever on iPhone. This most probably will be the brand new type of dual-lens camera system.
This rumor apparently comes from Apple analyst John Gruber, which is traditionally has well-positioned sources within the company.
“The specific thing I heard is that next years camera might e the biggest camera jump ever. I don’t even know what sense this makes, but I’ve heard that it’s some kind of weird two-lens system where the back camera uses two lenses and it somehow takes it up into DSLR quality imagery,” according to Gruber.
To make this rumor seems reliable, at the same time, we cannot help to link it with the recent news whereby Apple has patented an interchangeable lens system for the iPhone. This was filed with the US Patent Office (USPTO) from April 1st. This filing shows a clever system that allows the attachment of a large lens to the body of the iPhone in the similar manner with the Sony’s E-mount lenses for Xperia smartphones. The only difference is with the bayonet and the attachment mechanism.
