A new Xiaomi smartphone has been spotted making its way to the TENAA testing process in China. Apart from a few specs, very few details of the device are known. No photos of the handset have leaked either, because it’s testing and documentation are still under process.
The new Xiaomi smartphone in question is model No. 2014910. TENAA listing shows its battery size as just 2000mAh which is quite small and indicates that the phone would be slim. Only Xiaomi Redmi 1S has a battery of this size while Redmi 2 has a larger 2200mAh battery. Xiaomi’s flagships Mi3 and Mi4 have 3050mAh and 3080mAh batteries respectively.
There has already been a rumor that the fastest growing smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi is planning to launch a super-thin mid-range phone this January. This phone will compete with the likes of Oppo R5 and Vivo X5 Max. The new Xiaomi phone is also supposed to sport a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 processor and 2GB of RAM. It is also said that the first batch that will be launched will support only TD-LTE.
So we are likely to find another slim phone in our midst in January. We will keep you posted about any new developments in this regard of course.
