Even as we are eagerly waiting for Sony to announce its next flagship, the Xperia Z4, Chinese microblogging site Weibo.com has posted pictures of the front panel of the handset.
Well, the Xperia Z4 front panel doesn’t appear to be anything spectacular. It looks similar to that of the Xperia Z3, only apparent difference being that the positions of the front-facing camera and the light sensor located on the top of the handset have been interchanged.
Of course, the Xperia Z4 front panel will look great when covered by glass and surrounded by a metal frame, as all Sony’s Xperia phones do. The handset appears to have quite thin bezels in the photo but in the actual device they might not appear so thin with the frame covering them.
It also appears that Sony might not spring any design surprises with the Xperia Z4 because up front, the handset appears to be a lot like the Xperia Z3. On the specs front, the Z4 is expected to feature a 5.2-inch HD screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset and 3GB or 4GB of RAM. There are rumored to be two variants for the phone, one with 1080p resolution and the other with 1440p resolution.
Sony is expected to unveil the Xperia Z4 at its press conference in March at the MWC 2015 in Barcelona.
