As we are nearing the launch of Sony’s next flagship, the Xperia Z4, the speed of leaks and rumors about it has increased. Closely on the heels of earlier leaked images of the Sony Xperia Z4, another batch of photos purported to be those of the same device have popped up online. It is the same model number E6553 which supposedly corresponds to the upcoming Xperia Z4.
By the looks of it, this is going to be another sleek smartphone with a glossy finish from Sony. Apparently the handset will have two variants – one with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution display and the other with a 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution display but both will have a screen with diagonal measurement of 5.2 inches.
Both the variants will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 4GB of RAM, a 20.7MP rear camera, a 5MP front-facing camera and Sony’s own S-Master digital amplifier for sound. The device will run Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
Another point worth noting is that Sony seems to have done away with the closure flap that protects the microUSB port from dust and water. So perhaps Sony has devised another method to protect the microUSB port of the new Xperia Z4 because the smartphone is going to be IP68 certified for dust and water resistance.
Well, we will have to wait and see what features and price tag the Xperia Z4 will actually have when Sony finally unveils the device. The unveiling is rumored to be in summer before September this year. In another news, US carrier T-Mobile has taken off the current flagship Xperia Z3 from its online store, probably due to lack of demand in anticipation of Sony’s upcoming new flagship, the Xperia Z4.
