Along with the Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy Note 4 and Gear S, Samsung also unwrapped the Gear VR during its annual event at IFA Berlin. The company utilized the event to reveal not just its new Samsung Galaxy Note 4 , but also the Gear VR head-mounted display  that will use it’s 5.7-inch Quad HD display screen for virtual reality (VR) enhanced experiences.

Right now, the virtual reality (VR) headset developed in partnership with Oculus is already up for pre-order in the UK. Mobile Fun is accepting pre-orders for Gear VR starting at €189 or (£150 GBP).

The online retailer is identifying itself as a ‘Samsung Authorized Dealer’, lending some weight to the given price tag. Although, Mobile Fun is known for placing pre-order pages for newly announced mobile handsets much earlier, sometimes too early.

Unfortunately the website doesn’t mention about shipping date, indicating we are still left with the unclear mid-October 2014 window. Given that the online retailer is a mobile accessory specialist, it has not listed the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 or its pricing, leaving that part of the cost pricing in question.

The Samsung Gear VR uses the 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, which can be placed inside the headset itself. It uses accelorator, gyrometer ,magnetic and proximity sensors in creating the 360 degree 3D experience. Samsung says there is a super accuracy sensor promising no lag virtually  while using the wireless Gear VR.
