Samsung revealed its Gear Fit health tracker at this year’s Mobile World Congress, but it seems the Korean electronics giant has a few more fitness-related announcements up its sleeve.

Samsung has started sending out invites for an event in San Francisco, scheduled on May 28. As usual, there is no explicit mention of the purpose of the event, except stating that ‘A new conversation around health is about to begin’.

With its latest array of health and fitness-oriented gadgets, including the Gear family of products as well as the Galaxy S5, which has a built-in heart rate monitor, Samsung has shown that health is an important part of its strategy.

Speculation, however, points to the ongoing rivalry between Samsung and Cupertino giant, which is expected to unveil the rumored Healthbook app during its Worldwide Developers Conference in early June.
