Korean tech giant Samsung is all set to unveil its 2015 flagship handset the Galaxy S6 and if previous reports are to be believed, the handset is said to come with some very premium set of accessories along with it. The latest reports coming from the hometown of Korea shows that the company is planning to bring a authentication chip to be mounted on the third-party accessories for the Galaxy S6.
Samsung aims to increase the number of partners along with ensuring some very genuine products and delivering unmatched experience. This would for the first time when the company would be having authentication chips by itself, and would ship them to other accessory makers.
According to a Samsung insider, “the decision to mount authentication chips on accessories aims to differentiate the functioning of original products.” These authentication chips would be made by the LSI division and would be utilized in cases like the S-View flip covers and other that need the authentication the strongest. These chips can be used for operating the side screen of the Galaxy S6 Edge without even opening the cover.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 is said to come along with edge variant wherein both these devices would be communicating smoothly through buil-in NFC radios and authentication chips. A similar accessory ecosystem program has been initiated by Apple too.
