Sony is looking into launching a few flagship phones and tablets next year. Among them are Sony Xperia Z4, Z4 Tablet, Z4 Compact and also Z4 Ultra. The next Xperia tablet is planned to arrive around the same time as Xperia Z4 smartphone.

Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet

The new tablet will be equipped with a 10.1-inch Quad HD display and a 3840 x 2160 panel which is still under testing. However, the final version is more likely to ship with Quad-HD resolution than 4K. The design will be similar to Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact but it will be much thinner bezels than previous Sony 10-inch tablets. It will come with a twin stereo speakers as found in the Z3 Tablet Compact making it one of the most compact and light 10-inch Android tablets in the market by the time it launches. The device will run on a Snapdragon 810 Octa-Core chipset, 4GB RAM and 32 GB internal memory with rear camera of 13MP or higher resolution sensor while the front camera will be an 8MP unit.

Sony Xperia Z4

The smartphone will come with Qi-wireless charging support which is a magnetic charging port that Sony has been using since the original Xperia Z came out in early 2013. Xperia Z4 will not have any flaps for the microUSB port like the one exists in the previous Xperia Z models. Thus this will eliminate issue whereby the flaps will become loose and in the end comprising the water resistance of the device. Z4 will still be water resistant with the same IP68 certification as Z3.

Sony Xperia Z4 Compact and Xperia Z4 Ultra

The Xperia Z4 Compact will still come with the same 4.6” display size but of higher resolution of 1920 x 1080 panels and upgraded internal component. We do not have any further details on Xperia Z4 Ultra except the fact tha it will have the same 6.4” display size as the original Xperia Z Ultra with Quad-HD or 4K resolution.
