Recently, at the China Electronic Information Expo, MediaTek announced its new MT6595 chipset. The company has not been much vocal about it but according to sources, the chip hosts the big LITTLE architecture that comes with an integrated LTE support.


The chipset is octa-core with four with four Cortex A17 cores supported by four Cortex A7 cores clocked at 2.2GHz. It also has a PowerVR G6200 GPU with a support for 2K,4K video playback as well as recording along with the H.265. the chipset can work with smoothness for a 20MP camera shooter.

Just few days back, Qualcomm announced it LTE enabled octa-core processor however its possibilities of arriving soon are very narrow. The new Chipset from MediTek will handle networks like TD-LTE/FDD-LTE/WCDMA/TD-SCDMA/GSM and so the company flaunts it as the first octa-core with on-borad LTE as this chipset is expected to arrive soon.

However, the upcoming Qualcomm chipset will have a 64-bit four 64-bit Cortex A57 cores and four A53 cores whereas this MediaTek has 32-bit cores.
