The news everyone is waiting for from time to time was already released. Something about Android Lollipop’s up to date version. But the big question is how much longer are we going to wait before it becomes applicable to our smartphones? It had been six months since Google first introduced about Android L, and that is already a tormenting wait for any tech savvy. To give you up-to-the-minute information about the Android Lollipop 5.0 update, here is a list of smartphones to get the Android Lollipop 5.0 update and the when you can get it!


HTC One (M8) – everyone was disappointed when January 3, 2015 arrived and no Android L landed on this HTC handset. And now, it is rumored to be presented within 1 to 2 weeks.

HTC One (M7) – another HTC phone that is bound to get the update is this former flagship phone. And it is expected to have it after the M8.

HTC One (E8), One Mini 2, One Max, One Mini



LG G3 – although the update has already been released last November, it covers only a narrow range. All the same it is good news for LG users that the G3 is in line for the update.

LG G2 – there is no specific information as to when the G2 is going to get the update, but the more important thing now is that it is confirmed to get the Android Lollipop 5.0 update!



Motorola Moto G (2014) – this was one of the non-nexus devices to get the update last November. But there are no further information yet when it would be available in several markets.

Motorola Moto G (2013) – allegedly, some Moto G users already has the update.

Motorola Moto X (2014), Motorola Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx, Droid Mini, Moto E, Motorola Moto X (2013)



Samsung Galaxy S5 – not surprising that the Galaxy S5 is one of the smartphones to get the update. It is actually available, at present, to Galaxy S5 users in the U.K.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 – Android L is expected to land on this Samsung bad boy before January ends.

Samsung Galaxy S4 – as of now, it is only settled that the S4 is going to have the update. No word yet about the date.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 – lucky for Note 3 users, it is one of the smartphones to get the update. However, it would be behind the newer handsets in getting it.

Sony Xperia Z3 – this would probably be the first non-GPe Sony smartphone to get the Android L update. And Sony is doing its best to roll it out early February.
