Xiaomi is these days turning out to be a major player in the Chinese smartphone market. Recently we saw that Xiaomi launched its Redmi Note with high-end specs at a very competitive price of $130. Now Lenovo seems to be all set for taking the competition head-on as the company has launched its Lenovo S898T are an even more competitive price of $126.
The Lenovo S898T hosts some spectacular feature like a 5.3” 720 HD LTPS display along with OGS. The device clocks at 1.4GHz with a octa-core MediaTek processor and an Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean running on-board. The device comes with a 13MP rear and 5MP front-facing camera and different connectivity options like 3G, Bluettoth, GPS, Wi-FI and measures only 7.9mm in thickness.
There is still no information available for the battery life of the device but looking to its 7.9mm body, it can have a greater than 3,200mAh capacity. The Lenovo S898T will be launched in two versions where one will be having a 1GB RAM and 8GB built-in storage which will be priced as nearly 788 yuan or $126 while the other will have a 2GB RAM and 16GB storage priced at 988 yuan or $158.
Taking a look at its pricing, it beats the Hongmi Note or Redmi Note from Xiaomi but on the other hand, it has a bit lower processor speed as compared to Redmi Note. The device will be launched in Chinese markets for TD-SCDMA. The WCDMA version availability for international market is yet not revealed.
