The sales figures for HTC these days may not be so impressive but reports show that the Taiwanese company is doing very well in its mid-range smartphone segment. According to some recent news, HTC sold over 50,000 units of its recently launched Desire 816 in just a span of ten minutes.
The 5.5 inch handset is pitched at a very reasonable price of $310 in China due to which there was sudden increase in its demand. There were good amount of pre-registrations earlier this week with most of them seemed to have converted into good sales. The retailers are on a roll now and have promised to re-fill the stocks in few days till March 21.
If HTC keeps the same price equation elsewhere in other countries, the device is sure to receive a massive response and sell like hot-cakes in North America and Europe.
