HTC is launching a new universal USB charger for the selected smartphones to charge more than 40% faster than the normal chargers. HTC has given the name HTC Rapid Charger 2.0 that is using the Qualcomm’s Quick Charger 2.0 technology. The technological charger was first released on the Snapdragon 800 SoC only last year.

HTC Rapid Charger 2.0 is only available for the selected Smartphone models including HTC One remix, HTC One, HTC One E8, HTC One (M8) Harman Kardon Edition, and HTC Desire EYE.

The benefits of the new upcoming universal charger has not revealed without faster charging capability. Moreover, HTC has not confirmed whether this is will be workable for the HTC M8 for Windows or not.

There is no official news about the price and the release date of the rapid charger by HTC. At the same time, we believe that the HTC Rapid Charger 2.0 price can be near to the Motorola’s Turbo Charger that costs $34.99 only.
Isn’t really good that different brands are providing different universal charger for all handsets?
