There had been many rumors that Google is planning to bring an end to its Nexus line-up products. However, the way rumors are moving it doesn’t seem so. Recently we had spotted that a $100 Nexus smartphone might be coming by this year. Yet another rumor shows that Nexus 8 is to arrive this year in Q3 and will be made by HTC.
According to recent reports from Digitimes, the upcoming Nexus 8 tablet would arrive in Q3 of this year and would be made by the Taiwanese manufacturer HTC. According to previous reports the device would actually host a 8.9inch screen. The reports also show that HTC was much earlier on plans before Google approached Asus last year for the Nexus 7, but HTC was unable to meet dates for making the device due its busy schedule.
Looking at last year’s trend where the Nexus 7 was announced soon after the Google I/O conference in summer, the Nexus 8 would be following the same trend and would be released in Q3.
