Last year in 2013 HP has already launched its 8-inch tablet Slate 8 Pro with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and now the company has recently launched its updated version with NFC and the latest Android 4.4 KitKat named as HP Slate 8 Pro Business Tablet. The device is currently available at the HP Business Store at the price of $349.


The 8” tablet from HP comes with a WVA diplay with 1600×1200 pixel resolution and a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. At its heart lies the NVIDIA Tegra 4 A15 processor claocked at 1.8GHz. This processor is split into 4+1 core where the additional core is used for battery saving. The device has a 1GB DDR3 RAM and has a 16GB internal storage with microSD support. It has integrated microphone and speakers with Bits Audio and the universal 3.5mm jack. The primary camera is 8MP with LED flash capable of taking HD videos while the front part hosts a 720p camera. The device has an HDMI and a microUSB port as well with connectivity options like WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0+LTE. The device measures 9.9 mm thickness and 435.5 g weight and has a 21Whr Li-Ion battery.

This shows that the device has a fairly good resolution with 250 PPI density and serves excellent for reading ebooks and surfing the web. Users will also get seamless multi-tasking with the sufficiently faster 1.8GHz processor and 1GB RAM.
