As the IFA 2014 is drawing nearer, rumors and leaks about the gadgets that are expected to be unveiled there by various companies are gaining momentum. Sony is holding a press conference on September 3, just before the IFA. We have already had lots of leaks regarding the Xperia Z3 and its compact version. However, this is the first time we are hearing about their dimensions.
CAD drawings showing the dimensions of the two upcoming Sony smartphones Xperia Z3 and the Xperia Z3 Compact have been leaked online.
According to the drawings, Sony Xperia Z3, the larger of the two has the dimensions of 146.46 x 72.09 x 7.3 mm. This means it has a length of 146.46 mm, a breadth of 72.09 mm and a thickness of 7.3 mm making it a little smaller in overall size in comparison to Xperia Z2 that has the dimensions of 146.8 x 73.3 x 8.2 mm.
Sony Xperia Z3 is expected to have a 5.15-inch 1080 pixels Full HD display with a 2.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor and Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 20.7MP primary camera and a 2.1MP front facing camera.
The Sony Xperia Z3 Compact has the length of 126.98 mm and the breadth of 64.9 mm which is the same as its predecessor, the Xperia Z1 Compact. Measurement of its thickness is not available in the drawing.
The Xperia Z3 Compact is rumored to sport a 4.6-inch 1080 pixels (478ppi) Full HD display. Other specs are supposed to be the same as that of the Xperia Z3.
The actual picture will hopefully emerge at the IFA 2014 when both the smartphones are expected to be unveiled by Sony. Excited?
