AT&T announced that all of its Galaxy Mega 6.3 devices will be updateable to the latest version of Android i.e. Android 4.4.2 Kitkat. The Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 is the 6.3 inch version of Samsung Galaxy Mega (SGH-i527) handset.
You can get the official Android 4.4.2 Kitkat in two ways. The first option is to check manually for updates periodically. So, you will have to Settings Menu, then click on More option, and at last click About Device. Then go to Software Update Menu, click on “Check for Updates” section. The device will then check for available updates, if you want get the update than download the 4.4.2 version. The other way to update is to wait for the automatic update of your OS, meaning you will get a notification of AT&T official OTA (over-the-air) on your Galaxy Mega 6.3. Once you get the notification, download the files, and handset will automatically do the necessary installations. No matter which option you choose to update your device, download when connected to a Wi-Fi network as the files are pretty big. The software version name is I527UCUBNE7, so do check that after updating. According Samsung the update can be postponed not more than three times after which it will be downloaded automatically and updated.
