Asus is going to launch a new smartphone which will be called Pegasus 2 Plus X550. The device will be running on 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor which is normally found in mid-range flagship smartphone.

Pegasus 2 Plus will offer a full-HD 5.5-inch display screen with resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, a 3GB RAM and a dual SIM feature. As for the camera, the smartphone will come with 13MP rear camera with an 8MP front camera. The battery size will be as of 3030mAh. As for the software, the smartphone will come pre-installed with ASUS’s own custom Zen UI which runs on top of the Google’s Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS. There is also no detail about the connectivity but looking at the original Pegasus smartphone which came with 4G LTE, it is expected that Pegasus 2 Plus will be able to support the same.

Looking at the specifications, it is expected that the device will be somewhat fall in the mid-tier range of smartphone.  Pegasus 2 Plus will offer two colors Rose Gold and White which is a very nice color choice.  Unfortunately, there is no confirmation on the pricing yet or when the smartphone will be available to be purchased.  There is also no confirmation whether the product will be used only in China or it will also be available outside China.
