Apple previously said that Apple Watch is scheduled to be shipped in early 2015. The Senior Vice President of Retail, Angela Ahrendts informed the employees that the launch will be done in Spring after Chinese New Year. Currently Apple is finishing up work on the Apple Watch’s software.
According to several sources, Apple is planning to do an extensive testing program to familiarize Apple Retail Store employees with the new product category. Therefore, one or two representative from Apple Stores in United States, depending on the store and market size, will be sent to Apple offices in either Cupertino, California or Austin to learn more about the device. The training will be taken place between February 9th and February 16th.
These representatives will then have to train other employees in their respective stores before the device’s introduction in September. It is reported that Apple has been improving the inductive charging mechanism necessary for charging up the battery every night.
However, there are a few scenarios which can be resulted in the release of Apple Watch to a further date such as unexpected delays in software development and manufacturing. We hope that this will never be happened.
Apple Watch comes with three collections which is Standard, Sport and Edition as well as several wristband designs. As for the pricing, Apple has only revealed the pricing for metal and glass sport model will be $349, stainless steel and sapphire crystal standard model will be around $500 and the gold version to be priced in thousands of dollars range.
