The latest Apple news claims that the upcoming rumored 12-inch MacBook Air which is set to launch sometime in the middle of 2015 will have the colors similar to the iPhone. Expected colors are silver, space gray and gold. This news is provided by A Tech Website and it cited a source familiar with Apple affairs.

Apple May Launch 12″ MacBook Air In Mid-2015 In Gold, Silver And Space Gray

According to the source, Apple has been working on new MacBook Air size of 12-inch screen. The company already has the size 11-inch and 13-inch for the MacBook Air and this new size would be the ‘in between’ model of the two. The source further tells that 12-inch MacBook will have the new color range of space gray and gold; the new additions in the current MacBook color that is “raw” aluminum.

The source states that Apple is planning to launch this newly sized MacBook in the middle of the year 2015; however, this is not the first time that the expected date of this new release has been announced. The releasing dates had been taken back many times formerly.

A12-inch thin-and-light Macbook is in rumors for quite a long time. Previously, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reported its launch in 2014. After that the date was pushed forward to 2015.

If the rumors proved to be true then this would be the first time when Apple would try something new by leaving all the previous and present aluminum MacBook models. The company has already moved the iPhone product line in to three colors and there are reports that Apple is planning to do the same with iPad.
