Amazon has announced yet another Kindle Fire tablet in the affordable tablet segment namely the Kindle Fire HD 6 and the Fire HD 7. Both the tablets are already available for pre-order and come in variety of new colors. The Kindle Fire HD 6 pricing start for only $99 with the basic model being placed for 8GB of memory along with sponsored screen savers and would be released on October 2.

Some of the common specs that include for both tablets is quad-core CPU with 1.2GHz clocking for two cores and 1.5GHz for other two. Both the devices come with 1GB of RAM and two storage options of 8GB and 16GB. The connectivity options for the device would be single-band Wi-Fi and SlimPort enabled microUSB 2.0. Both the tablets have 2MP of primary camera and a front-facing VGA camera.

Kindle Fire HD 7

The Fire HD 6 has a resolution of 1280×800 pixel while the Fire HD 7 has same resolution meaning lesser pixel density than the Fire HD 7 which is of-course due to its larger screen size. The Fire HD 6 has mono speakers while the HD 7 comes with dual-speakers with Dolby Digital Plus enhancement. Looking to their dimensions, the Fire HD 6 has 10.7mm thickness and weighs just 290 grams while the Fire HD 7 measures 10.6mm weighing 337 grams.

Both these tablets run the Android-based Amazon Fire OS 4 that offers a complete integration to Amazon’s content services and shopping services. The 16GB Fire HD 6 is priced for $134. The 8GB Fire HD 7 is priced for $139 while its 16GB variant for $174. This tablets would certainly be a good choice for all the Kindle fans.
